Parks
There are several large parks around Nelson township. Enjoy a picnic lunch on our lawns or at one of our seating areas. There are BBQ facilities for cooking and access to public bathrooms.
Boat Ramp
Looking to set out on the water? Nelson has 3 easily accessible boat ramps to launch your craft. Access to the main boat ramp is via Leake Street. The west bank boat ramp can be accessed via Old Bridge Road and Simsons Landing boat ramp via Simsons Landing Road.
Playground
Nelsons main park features a modern playground for children to enjoy. The same area also has a basketball ring.
Tennis Court
The Nelson Tennis Club is located in the heart of town and is available to visitors. Visitors can book the court space at the Nelson Visitor Information Centre. Access to the courts incurs a small fee.

Canoe Launch Sites
There are two local canoe launch sites accessible to visitors. The first is at west bank with access via Old Bridge Road. The second can be reached via Isle of Bags Road.
