Description:

Whatever brings you to Nelson, you will feel at home at Arnold’s Place.

 Fishermen will appreciate the boat parking space, bait fridge and fish cleaning facilities. The house is only 200 metres from the Simson’s Landing boat ramp and swimming beach.Lovers of wildlife will enjoy visits from kangaroos, the semi-resident koala, Godzilla the supersized possum and a variety of native birds. Feeding is encouraged and seed is provided.

Arnold’s Place is located a short distance from the Lower Glenelg National Park with its many walks for all standards of fitness. We welcome adventurers undertaking the Great South West Walk - Arnold’s Place is the perfect spot to break your journey, regroup and refresh, offering comfy beds and full laundry facilities. Let us know if you need help with provisioning.

The house is completely self contained. The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, griller, microwave and a host of electrical appliances as well as a few pantry staples. All beds are made up and bed linen and towels are provided and included in your tariff. The large open plan living area features reverse cycle air conditioning and also a combustion heater for the Nelson winter. Firewood is supplied, making it tempting to settle in with a glass of our complimentary wine and a book or magazine from our selection. The house also has a bathroom with shower and bath as well as a separate toilet. Outside there is a deck overlooking the park-like front garden, with outdoor furniture and 4 burner gas barbecue. If the weather is unkind, there is another barbecue at the back next to an undercover entertaining area and outdoor fire.

 If you prefer to venture out, Arnold’s Place is a 2 minute drive from the centre of the Nelson township. If you don’t feel like cooking, the Nelson Kiosk has the best home made pies and burgers in the south west and the pub offers hospitality and good food - and a courtesy bus if you want to make a night of it.
